Applications are inviting for Young Researcher Award at Lady Tata Memorial Trust for Young Indian Scientists, the main objective of Lady Tata Memorial Trust (LTMT) is to recognize and reward young Indian scientists with outstanding track record in biological sciences, a deep commitment to find innovative solutions to major problems related to human diseases and potential for high quality research. Young Indian Scholars can get the award details and submit required proposals on or before closing date.
Award Value: Selected scientists will receive an award value of Rs.25,000/- per month plus a contingency grant of Rs.5 lakhs per annum, in addition to the regular salary drawn from the host Institute. Initially award will be applicable for a period of 3 years, further the award will be extended by two years, on a review by the Trust’s Experts’ Committee.
Eligibility Criteria for Lady Tata Memorial Trust Young Researcher Award 2024-25
Award is open to Young Indian Scholars, Applicant should possess a Ph.D. degree in any Biological Science or a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, or an equivalent degree in Biotechnology related areas, the applicant must have at least 4 years’ professional experience in the specific area after obtaining the above degree, Applicant should pursue full time courses in University / Organization / Institute in India.
Age Limit
Applicant age limit should be below 40 years as on March 2024

Selection Process
Selected students will be called for Interview. Interview will be conducted in the March/April month. Based on performance in interview one young researcher will be finally shortlisted for the award.
