EKSU Centre For Gender And Development Postgraduate Studies 2024 is designed to offer postgraduate and master’s degree courses to the students of Nigeria in all relevant fields of study, applicants or the non-governmental organizations who desire to train as social workers, social welfare officers, and gender development experts for academic institutions.

Government or private sector organizations and NGOs and those willing to pursue academic careers in either Social Work or Gender and Development Studies are eligible or applicable to apply for the program, the main objective of the program is to develop skills and capacity in the students to provide solutions to social problems and development issues.

Ekiti University is offering master’s and postgraduate courses in gender development to provide solutions to social problems.

Courses are offered in Postgraduate Diploma in Gender and Development Studies, Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Gender and Development Studies, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Social Work, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Gender and Development Studies, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Social Work.

Eligibility Criteria for EKSU Centre For Gender And Development Postgraduate Studies 2024

Postgraduate diploma:
To be eligible to apply for the postgraduate course the candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree not below third class honors in any discipline from a recognized University, along with any approved equivalent professional qualifications recognized by the Senate of the Ekiti State University relevant professional qualifications such as HND in Gender and Development Studies or social work, other related disciplines and approved equivalent qualifications.
Masters degree:
To be eligible to apply for the master’s degree the candidate must possess a minimum admission requirement of a Second Class Honors Lower Division in relevant disciplines from a reputable university that is in sciences, social work, and gender development studies with a minimum GPA.
Doctors of Philosophy:
To be enrolled in a doctor’s course the applicant should possess a Master’s degree with a minimum weighted average score of ‘B’ or ’60.0’ in Social Work and gender development studies.
All the applicants should have five credits GCE/SSCE Ordinary Level in English language and at least a P7 or E8 in Mathematics.
Target group
All candidates of Nigeria who are possessing the necessary qualities are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
