Wisconsin 4-H Foundation inviting Scholarship applications for Wisconsin 4-H member to support for pursuing higher education and the scholarships are awarded to students based on demonstrated personal growth, development and leadership, academic performance and future educational goals.

Scholarship Value: $10,000

Eligibility Criteria for Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Scholarships 2024-25

Applicant should be Wisconsin 4-H member for at least one year, Applicant should have minimum grade point of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, and be enrolled or planning to enroll at a university, college or technical school.

Application Process of Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Scholarships 2024-25

All the below mentioned documents must be sent as a PDF or word format. Applications must be emailed to scholarships@wis4hfoundation.org.  Applications will consist of:

  1. Résumé
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page
  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and using type no smaller than 10 points
  • Suggested résumé headings include: Career Goals, School Experience, Work Experience, 4-H Experience, Leadership Experience, Activities Outside of 4-H
  • Include probable school choice and major on your résumé
  • Résumés must be submitted as a PDF (preferred) or Word Document, and must be named Applicant Last Name Résumé (example: Smith Résumé) and attached to the email.
  1. Cover Letter
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page
  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and using type no smaller than 10 points
  • Cover letters should include information relevant to the application, including how 4-H made an impact and how skills learned in 4-H will be used in the future. The strongest cover letters expand on information on the résumé; they don’t repeat the same information.
  • Cover letters must be submitted as a PDF (preferred) or Word Document, and must be named Applicant Last Name Cover Letter (example: Smith Cover Letter) and attached to the email.
  1. List of 4-H projects in which the applicant participated
  • Applicant’s name and contact information (including county where the applicant is/was a 4-Her) at the top of the page
  • Not to exceed one page
  • No less than 3/4–inch margins and using type no smaller than 10 points
  • The project list should be in order of importance to the 4-Her, with the most important projects at the top of the list. This does not need to be a complete list of every project ever taken by the 4-Her.
  • Project list must be submitted as a PDF (preferred) or Word Document, and must be named Applicant Last Name Project List (example: Smith Project List) and attached to the email.
  1. One recent photo of the applicant preferably at a 4-H event or working on a 4-H project
  • Photo must be 5” x 7” or less and may be snapshots or professional photos
  • Photo should be clear and, while other people may be in the photo, the applicant must be prominent
  • Photo must be submitted electronically and titled Applicant Last Name Photo (example: Smith Photo) and attached to the email.
  • Photo may be used for promotional purposes

Guidelines to Prepare Application Form

  • Résumé and cover letters with extreme quantities of text will be disqualified
  • Documents with the most words will not receive preference!
  • Résumés, cover letters, project lists (a total of three pages) and one photo must be received by the Wisconsin 4-H Foundation via a single email on or before deadline
  • Applications received after this time (as time stamped in the email), and any USPS mailed applications will not be considered.  Apply early to avoid any confusion.

Selection Process of Wisconsin 4-H Foundation Scholarships 2024-25

A board of experienced youth consultants will screen the applications and select finalists, Applications picked as finalists will be screened by a second panel involved 4-H and youth improvement specialists, the finalist applications will be positioned. The 4-H Foundation will relegate accessible grants to the best positioning applications in light of grant criteria (case: grants are accessible for particular topographical territories and undertaking zones).
