University of Graz Research Scholarships 2024 are provided by the Department for Scientific Affairs of the Province of Syria to the students belonging to southeast European nations who are interested to pursue research in master’s, Ph.D. and doctoral studies, the scholarships offered are merit scholarships and the candidates are selected based on academic qualifications in a joint process of the Province of Styria and the University of Graz, the main aim of the scholarship is to scientific and cultural relations between the nations and in turn leads to strengthening the bilateral relations.

Course offered
The University of Graz offers scholarships to pursue research in master’s, Ph.D., and doctoral studies in all the relevant subjects that are offered by the university, but the number of scholarships is limited.
Value of award
The candidates selected for the master’s or Ph.D. research program at the University of Graz will receive a scholarship benefit of EUR 600 per month incl. tuition fee waiver at the University of Graz, where the candidates selected for research in post-doctoral studies will receive a stipend of EUR 900 per month.
Eligibility criteria for University of Graz Research Scholarships 2024
Applicants should be the national of South-Eastern Europe countries and must hold degrees from accredited universities of their home country for the candidates who are applying for master’s and doctoral studies along with that the candidates should be working on their master’s or doctoral thesis, the candidates who are applying for research in doctoral studies must have completed their Ph.D. program with excellent results and the doctoral candidates who are applying should complete study not be older than 1 year at the time of application.
Target group
Students who are permanent residents of South-Eastern European countries that are of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, Montenegro, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia” (F.Y.R.O.M.), Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova are eligible to apply.

Application procedure to apply for University of Graz Research Scholarships 2024
Two separate application forms are available for research studies Master’s and doctoral studies and postdoctoral studies and the candidates should send the complete set of application documents scanned in one pdf file via email at Christa.grassier(at)uni-graz.at, the candidates should submit the invitation letter that is to be printed on official paper and signed by the supervisor.
