Would you like to expand your research on freshwaters or inland fisheries? Are you highly motivated to put your excellent research ideas into action? You are keen on working abroad with an interdisciplinary team of scientists dedicated to advancing freshwater ecology, inland fisheries science, or related research areas? And you are looking for unique facilities to develop new approaches to tackle the most important research questions for the future of our freshwaters?
IGB (Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries) cordially invites applications for a research visit at the IGB fellowship program, excellent scientists from all countries, and at different career stages to apply for a research visit at IGB. IGB offers a fellowship program twice a year for postdocs and senior scientists for 6-24 months. Postdoc Fellowships full support for postdoctoral researchers to carry out full-time research at IGB for up to two years. Senior Fellowships scientists generally lead a research group at their home institution to obtain funding for an extended visit at IGB.

Eligibility Conditions for IGB Fellowship 2024 Programme
Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent (Ph.D. fellowships) or a doctoral degree (postdocs and senior scientists) in one of the research areas at IGB. Applicants currently residing in Germany are not eligible for the fellowship program.
