The National Gallery of Arts has a vivid role in preserving, exhibiting, fostering, and collecting the unique arts of the past and where people can have high standards of understanding and maintains scholarly standards.
The National Gallery of arts is providing a fellowship called Visiting Senior Fellowship Program under the USA government, these fellowships are of two types Paul Mellon and Ailsa Mellon Bruce.
These fellowships are given to support many Ph.D. types of research on the history, theory, and criticism of the arts like painting, sculpture, architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, prints and drawings, film, photography, decorative arts, industrial design, and other arts of any area on earth and of any time, visiting senior fellowship applications are also solicited from scholars in other disciplines whose work examines artifacts or has implications for the analysis and criticism of visual form.

Award of Scholarship
The center provides twelve short terms ( each term is of 5 days ) visiting fellowships that are of 60 days of Paul Mellon and Ailsa Mellon Bruce fellowships annually, the stipends for the fellowship are given as $6000 to $8000 per month, on the person’s request they may receive housing too.
Eligibility Criteria for Visiting Senior Fellowship Program USA 2024-25
The candidates should be old for a Ph.D. of 5 years minimum to apply, the candidate also can possess an equivalent accomplishment rather than Ph.D., Candidates affiliated currently with the National Gallery of arts are not eligible, this scholarship does not consider age or nationality of the candidate, outsiders who are scholars in arts and history will remain as a selection committee.
