British Council British Council Young Critics Programme 2024 is an area where young writers and journalists are get enriched in their talent, by offering training and with the inspiration of the Logos Theater Festival along with the International Association of Theater Critics and the Guardian Newspaper British Council Nigeria became more matured the Young critics programme.

This British Council Young Critics Programme 2024 for Nigerian Writers and Journalists Instruct and confidante the twenty(20) young writers and journalists in the theatre criticism and subsequently the 20 young trained ones have the partnership as well as in the IATC.
Field Of Study

The applicants should be residents or the permanent citizen of Nigeria or any country in West Africa to apply for the scholarship
Age Limit
The candidates who are willing to apply to the British Council Nigeria Young Critics Programme their age should be between the 18 – 35 years.
Value of award
The candidates will be paid the transport allowance of N2,500 per day to the citizens of the Logos and for the outsiders, the British Council will transport them to the workshop venue each day, lunch and dinner and other facilities will be provided by the agency till the completion of workshop training.

Eligibility criteria for British Council Young Critics Programme 2024 for Nigerian Writers and Journalists

To apply for the British Council Nigeria Young Critics Programme for writers and journalists the participants should fulfil the necessary requirements, the candidate must be a citizen of Nigeria or any country from West Africa, he/the age limit should be between the 18 – 35 years old,  the candidate should be the holder of a degree or have the working experience as a journalist from a recognised journal, and also the candidate should have the knowledge, writing and speaking skills in the English language
Workshop Methodology
The workshop related to journalism is going to conduct along with the Logos Theater Festival, This will include the teaching from the IATC members from Europe and Nigeria, where during the Logos theatre festival the workshop divides the twenty candidates into five groups with an instructor.

The workshop to train and mentor the twenty candidates for four hours each day, the student’s edit, publish the theatre productions written and submitted by the participants. and so on are the works they are done in the fieldwork, Through the Young critic’s programme the participants are included in the international association theatre festival.
