Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship 2024 is offering fellowships to the students of any nationality for a period of one year to provide aid to fellows in honor of the leadership legacy of Frank Newman by recognizing community-committed students, the fellowships are offered to the candidates who have demonstrated an investment in finding solutions for challenges facing communities within their nation.
The selected fellows will receive many benefits like they have access to in-person and virtual learning opportunities, networking events, and local mentors, the applicant should have the problem-solving capacity and intention to develop their community.
Fellowship details
Newman Civic Fellows will receive an award by the Campus contact which advances the public purposes of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility including National recognition through the Campus Compact website media.
A guaranteed minimum $1000 scholarship from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute to participate in their Leadership and the American Residency program which is considered to be conditional on being selected to the fellowship, where the Campus contact will receive an opportunity to apply for Newman’s Own Foundation Fellowship.

Eligibility Criteria for Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship 2024
To be eligible to receive a fellowship the applying nominee must be currently enrolled at a Campus Compact member institution to apply for the Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship, where they must be nominated by the president or chancellor of their institution, each institution may nominate only one student, for institutions with both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Presidents and chancellors are encouraged to recommend the most deserving student, with preference given to undergraduate students and the fellowship encourages presidents and chancellors to give preference to students from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in higher education.

Applicants of any nationality can apply for Campus Compact Newman Civic Fellowship.
Documents to be submitted
- candidate must have at least one year of their education remaining that is either at their current institution or at a different one
- applicant must commit to providing a short reflection piece like video, article, or letter format to Campus Compact during their fellowship year
- candidate’s institutions must commit to helping the nominee identify a local mentor for the duration of the fellowship

The applicants are hereby informed to download the application from the official website and upload all the above documents, the applications are scrutinized by Campus contact, where each Campus Compact member president or chancellor may nominate one student to become a Newman Civic Fellow.
