DAAD which is also called German Academic Exchange Service has currently opened for receiving applications for DAAD M.sc and Phd Scholarships 2020-21 for Kenyans, interested candidates can apply before deadline at https://www.daad.de….
German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) announced the call for the scholarships, DAAD by funding and providing scholarships to the developing countries increasing the educational cooperation and international academic exchange, these scholarships are for students of Kenyan and Sub-Saharan African Region for M.sc and Phd programmes, the scholarships are tenable for the years 2020/2020 and only for the students on full time basis, the period of education of these candidates start from September of the year.
Availability of Scholarships
These scholarships are limited to a few students of Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa region.
Tenure of scholarships
these scholarship are provided upto two years, at first the scholarship is provided only for one year after that on the proposal of student and the academics the tenure of the scholarship will be extended for 2 years(M.sc) and 3 years(Phd).
Eligibility Criteria of DAAD M.Sc and PhD Scholarships 2020-21
The applicants should have perceived their university degree less than 6 years ago at the time applying, the applicant should be a resident of Kenya or Sub-Saharan African region, temporary admission letter or the admission letter as a proof of intake of admission, Phd research proposal including detailed work plan and if the plagiarism is above 24% the application gets rejected.

For Master candidates only:
Letter of motivation (Maximum 2 pages in PDF), academic reference from senior lecturer and proof of employment if applicable (scanned PDF copy)
For Ph.D. candidates only:
Ph.D. research proposal including a detailed work plan (10 to 15 pages); plagiarism will be checked and rejected if above 24%, recommendation letter by head of department indicating that you are a present or prospective member of staff and how you will be integrated into the staff development agenda of the university, confirmation of study leave from your university, confirmation of teaching release (university staff members only)

Before applying you should have an admission from Kenyatta University in the appropriate subjects given.
Deadline : Expected
The applications will be closed in the first week of the first week of February and the pre scholarship selection will be done and notified to the candidates in the last week of February and the candidate pres elected need to be log on to DAAD portal and register again, the final selection of candidates will be released on mid-may, 2020.
