East Africa social science translational (EASST ) organisation is, a multi- institution established in 2009 with an aim to promote projects related to social and economic development in the East Africa region, This is gained through the terms of evaluating research by offering competitive fellowship and grants to junior social scientists at East India institutions, The network of EASST is administered Centre for effective global action at University of California, Berkeley during the falling academic semester, EASST offers fellowship in the fields of social science.
The EASST organisation will offer research and fellowships annually in the fields of social science, number of scholarships provided by the organisation are several.
Duration and stipend:
Fellowship is offered for a period of 4 months where the fellows receive a living stipend, round-trip economy class air travel to Berkeley.
Eligibility criteria for East Africa Social Science Translation Visiting Fellowship 2020-21
The applicant who is interested in applying for fellowship should possess a PhD or Masters completed within the period of last 5 years, or should be enrolled in a doctoral program in the fields of economics, statistics, epidemiology/public health, or other social science discipline, candidate must have conducted an impact evaluation study either randomized or quasi–experimental or have an interest in micro-level data collection and quantitative analysis,applying candidate should be a computer expert and have good oral and written skills in English.
candidates belonging to east African nations that is Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, or Rwanda are eligible to apply for fellowship.
