The National Board for Higher Mathematics is offering scholarships to the students of India who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or post-graduation in India, the scholarships are provided by the universities of Harish-Chandra Research Institute (HRI), Allahabad.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai, the aim of the scholarships is to promote the growth of higher mathematics in the country and to execute activities for the development of mathematics.
Award: The award is given to students who are interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or post-graduation in India. A number of scholarships are not fixed.
Value of award:
Candidates who are selected for Mathematics in Ph.D. scholarship will receive an amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month for the first and second year and Rs. 28,000/-per month for subsequent years, a contingency grant of Rs. 32,000/- per year and house rent allowance as per the rules of the government.

Eligibility Criteria for NBHM Ph.D. Scholarship 2024- 2024 by Government of India Ph.D. Scholarships in Mathematics
The following are the eligibility criteria that a candidate must meet to apply for a Government of India Ph.D. Scholarships in Mathematics 2024-25, the selection procedure is completely based on a written test that all the applying candidates should undergo.
Educational qualification:
- Applying candidates must possess a Master’s degree in mathematics, physics, or statistics and wish to take up research work in any branch of mathematics.
- Candidates holding a four-year B.S./B.Sc./B. Stat/B.S./B.Tech./B.E. degree or its equivalent degree, or those in the final year can also apply for the scholarship.
- Candidates should have a good academic score
Age limit:
