Scottish association for Marine science is one of the most prestigious marine research institutes located or based in Oban which is the premier of United Kingdom institutes, The students of UK and European union who are interested in pursuing PhD or research degree program for about 44 months are applicable to apply for SAMS scholarship,16 weeks of training will be given in the development and application of SAOS technologies and approaches in the field of environmental sciences, alongside comprehensive personal and professional development,this will help the trainees to develop their multidisciplinary outlook through contacts with a wide network of academic, research, industry, government and policy partners.
University offers 16 weeks training and PhD or research degree related to application of technologies in the fields of Environmental studies.
Value of award
selected candidates will receive an amount of £14,296 per annum for maintenance where university fees is offered at current RCUK rate.
Eligibility criteria for Marine sciences, Biology – Postgraduate Studentships
In order to apply for Postgraduate scholarship the candidate must possess a master’s degree from an accredited university, and a Bachelor’s degree with a first or second class honours, candidates demonstrated academic competence that is to be approved by UHI Research degree committee on recommendation of the SAMS Director,and candidate whose first language is not English or does not have possessed English in prior degree must hold IELTS qualification.
