The Institute for Advanced Studies (IHS) is an independent, non-profit research institute based or resided in Vienna, Austria, It provides a common platform to all the students who are experts in different fields of study related to economics, sociology, and political science and others, as the course provided is in the field of political science applicants should hold a master degree in political science, media studies, sociology, political democratic theory or a related social science discipline.

The Institute for Advanced Studies offers scholarship in the course of PhD degree for interested students, number of scholarships are two (2).
Fields of study
Scholarships are offered in fields of legitimacy crisis and parliamentary representation and European elections, respectively, as part of the PhD network ,‘The Post-Crisis Legitimacy of the European Union’ (PLATO)
Value of award
Selected candidates a salary 2.052 Euro gross per month 14 times per year plus 600 Euros mobility allowance which includes, family allowance, excellent pension benefits Welfare benefits.
Eligibility Criteria for IHS Fully-Funded PhD Scholarships 2024-25
Applicant must hold Master’s degree in political science, media studies, sociology, political (democratic) theory or a related social science discipline which includes at least two years of study at MA level and an MA thesis with good academic record, along with that must possess good writing and speaking skills in English provided with language proficiency certificated lasted for not more than two years are eligible to apply.
