The Heinrich Boll Foundation offers scholarships to the students who are interested in pursuing Undergraduate, Master & Ph.D. courses in Germany, the number of scholarships offered is 1000 scholarships approximately per annum.
The scholarships are offered by universities of applied sciences (‘Fachhochschulen’) or universities of the arts (‘Kunsthochschulen’). Scholarships are completely merit-based, the Heinrich Boll Foundation scholarships are provided in any subject or field the candidate opts for in the subjects that are offered by the university.
Award: The award is given to the students who are interested in pursuing Undergraduate, Master & Ph.D. courses from Germany, the number of scholarships offered is 1000 scholarships approximately.
Value of award:
Scholarship recipients from an EU country receive a basic scholarship of 1,350 euros per month plus a research cost allowance of 100 euros per month, Scholarship holders from a non-EU country receive 1,000 euros per month plus a mobility allowance of 100 euros per month, as well as various individual allowances.

The following are the eligibility criteria that a candidate must meet to apply for Heinrich Boll Foundation Scholarships Undergraduate, Masters & Ph.D. students, candidate should have a basic foundation in the fields of ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice.
Educational qualification:
- The candidate should be enrolled at a state-recognized university or college in Germany at the time the scholarship payments begin.
- The candidate should have good writing and speaking skills in the German language.
