Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education introduced Central Sector Scheme (CSS) Scholarship Scheme 2024 for college and university students, under the scheme of CSS (Central Sector Scheme) for the year 2024. All the college students are eligible for this scholarship. The main objective of the CSS scheme is to to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies in College and University. So all the students who are going to apply for this CSS Scholarship Scheme 2024 need to submit the application form before the closing date. The students who are already beneficial about this scholarship are need to renewal every year.
Scholarship Details
Scholarship will provided to college studies. Every year 8200 scholarships will be awarded to the students. In that boys and girls preference will be in equal ration like 4100 scholarships to Girls and 4100 Scholarships to boys. Scholarships will be provided to meritorious students from low income families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. This scholarship will be divided as per the category basis like for OBC students 27%, for SC students 15% and for ST students it will be 7.5%.
Eligibility criteria for CSS Scholarship Scheme 2024
Applicant should be citizen of India. Applicants who are pursuing higher studies in Colleges and Universities are eligible to the scholarship. The student who belongs to state/central/ICSE would be having different priority like in the ratio 3:2:1. Candidate need to secure at least 80% of marks in their previous class. Candidates annual income should be low. Applicants who are receiving any other type of scholarship will not be eligible to the scholarship. Applicant should hold 12thclass or equivalent having family income less than Rs.6 lakhs per annum, pursuing regular courses (not correspondence or distance mode) from recognised educational institutions and not availing of any other scholarship scheme.
