Japan Research Center (JRC) inviting applications for Sasakawa Foundation Studentship made possible through the liberality of The Nippon Foundation and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation. Applicants pursuing 2 year full time Master courses can get scholarship details and apply on or before deadline.
Total No.of Studentship: 3 Scholarship
Studentship Value: Selected students will get studentship of £10,000 (untaxed). The studentship will be paid in 3 installments i.e £3,300 at the start of Terms 1 & 2, and £3,400 at the start of Term 3.
Sasakawa Foundation Postgraduate Studentship 2020 Eligibility Criteria
International students pursuing full-time Postgraduate Taught Masters Degree Programmes, MPhil/PhD student, Current Masters students enrolled in Year 1 are eligible to the scholarship. Applicant should be proficient in English Language. Masters Degree students should also provide evidence that their dissertation is on a theme connected with Japan

- Academic transcripts
- An explanation of the grading system for any degrees obtained outside of the UK
- Two reference Letters
- CV and a personal statement include details of the applicant’s skills in Japanese and future academic or career plans.
- MPhil/PhD applicants must also submit a research proposal whose thesis topic focuses on any aspect of Japan.

Sasakawa Foundation Postgraduate Studentship 2020 Application Deadline
30 June 2020, it is recommended to apply for the programme about six weeks before the scholarships deadline (that is, by 9 January 2020), Already enrolled students can submit application forms on or before 20 February 2020.
