ETH Zurich is an international foundation that supports outstanding and academically excellent students who are interested to pursue Master’s degree studies by offering two scholarship programmes they are Excellence scholarship and opportunity programme and the other is master scholarship programme,The objective of the programme is to provide finance assistance to meritorious students who want to pursue masters degree in Zurich university, where Excellence scholarship and opportunity program supports students with a scholarship,mentorship covering full study and living costs during master’s degree course, and Masters degree programme contains partial stipend with additional offers by department assistantship or additional scholarship, to receive a scholarship offer the candidate should prove their financial condition.

ETH Zurich in Switzerland offers masters degree for a period of three to four semesters in the fields offered by the university, number of scholarships offered by the university depends on the availability of funds.
Value of award
The Excellence Scholarship consists of a grant covering living and study expenses covering a CHF 11,000 per semester as well as a tuition fee waiver,The Master Scholarship consists of a partial stipend for living and study expenses CHF 6,000 per semester as well as a tuition fee waiver,The department can additionally provide a scholarship of CHF 1,500 – 3,000 per semester or offer an assistantship from the second semester onwards with a payment of CHF 600 per month,The Master Scholarship Programme requires a financial contribution from the scholarship holder.
Eligibility criteria for ETH Zurich Excellence Masters Scholarships
The ETH Zurich scholarship programmes are open to all meritorious and excellent students both from the ETH and from other universities that is to all national and international students who are interested to pursue their Master’s degree at ETH Zurich,The applying students must belong to the top 10 percent of their Bachelor’s programme,or have completed their bachelors degree ETH Bachelor student ,continue with master’s degree programme, applicant is not eligible for this scholarship if they are already enrolled in master’s degree programme at ETH Zurich.

Application procedure to apply for ETH Zurich Excellence Masters Scholarships
Documents to be submitted
- application form for either Excellence scholarship and opportunity programme or the master scholarship programme
- letter of motivation
- pre-proposal for candidates master’s thesis that is It must be developed by yourselves and use established scientific citation practice
- two letters of recommendation from professors of their universities
