University of British Colombia (UBC) Visiting Scholarships 2024-25 is funded by faculty of forestry to the students of India and commonwealth nations who are interested to pursue their postgraduate studies and training in Canada, under this scholarship training program visiting scholars engage themselves in seminars and develop skills relevant to their current research work, the program is aimed to activate young and dynamic community of global leaders across the Commonwealth to create lasting impacts at both home and abroad through inter-cultural exchanges encompassing international education, discovery and inquiry, and professional experiences.

Eligibility criteria for University of British Colombia (UBC) Visiting Scholarships 2024-25
Applicants must be currently conducting forestry research at a university in India or Commonwealth countries in Africa at one of the university partner institutions, candidate must be a Proficient in English, and the candidate Currently enrolled as a master’s or Ph.D. student in India or Commonwealth countries in Africa, candidates must agree to return to their home country after the study visit and sign a form to this effect as part of their acceptance of the award.
Target group
Citizens of a Commonwealth country and India are eligible to apply for the scholarship, Anyone who has applied for Canadian citizenship or permanent residency is not eligible.
Selection criteria
the applicants are selected based on applicant’s research that is either in the form of course work, or research experience, the alignment of proposed research from current supervisor, research program of proposed UBC faculty member and the applicant’s proposed research,the commitment from proposed UBC faculty member for mentoring the applicant’s research activities.
