UBC Faculty of Forestry is offering scholarships to the students of India as well as commonwealth nations of Africa who are interested to be a visiting scholar for a period of four months, the applying candidate should be enrolled in a postgraduate program before they apply for the scholarship.
The main aim of the scholarship is to activate a young global leader across the Commonwealth to create long-lasting impacts both home and abroad through inter-cultural exchanges encompassing international education, discovery and inquiry, and professional experiences through the program.
Award: The award is given to the students who are interested to be visiting scholars for a period of four months, The number of scholarships is not specified.
Value of award:
The value of the scholarship includes the airfare maximum of up to C$2,100 and living expenses of C$1,550 per month for up to 4 months.

Eligibility Criteria for UBC Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Visiting Scholarships 2024-25
The following are the eligibility criteria that a candidate must meet to apply for UBC Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Visiting Scholarships 2024-25, Candidates must agree to return to their home country after the study visit and sign a form to this effect as part of their acceptance of the award.
Educational qualification:
- The candidate should be currently enrolled as a master’s or Ph.D. student in India or Commonwealth countries in Africa
- Applying candidates should have good writing and speaking skills in English.
Age limit :
Candidates who are applying for the scholarship should possess an age under 35 years
Nationality:
Candidates belonging to India as well as from Commonwealth countries in Africa are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
