Master Card Foundation Scholars program offering for Makerere University students to pursue courses in the below fields of study, The main objective of Scholarship assurance is developing the next generation of African Leaders and also to promote the strategic objectives of Makerere University and MasterCard Foundation.
The MasterCard Foundation in contributing to Africa’s higher education sector and development, the project is implemented under the leadership of the Planning and Development Directorate, Candidates who are eligible the male and female candidates can apply on or before deadline.

Scholarship award covers Tuition and Functional fees, Accommodation, Feeding and stipend, Laptop, books and other learning materials, Transport to and from home, Medical insurance, Psychosocial support and mentoring of scholars, Capacity building program for life skills development in ICT, Leadership, Gender, Human Rights, Communication, Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy.
Makerere University Full Mastercard Scholarships 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be resident of all African countries and who are pursuing courses at Makerere university are eligible to apply for the Scholarship award. All prospective Scholars must first be admitted to Makerere University to be considered and the scholarships will be applicable for merit students and candidate must meet following eligibility criteria to apply.
- Economically disadvantaged and facing significant financial barriers to accessing education.
- Committed to giving back to their own communities once studies are completed.
- Return to their home areas and countries and take a leadership role in promoting social and economic improvement.
- Future leaders committed to embracing ethical leadership to improve the lives of others.
- Commitment to community service through previous and/or past engagements with community outreach activities
- Wanting to study at undergraduate level at Makerere University
