The PROMISE Scholarship will pay $4,750 per year or the cost of tuition and mandatory fees, whichever is less, at an eligible institution, and the award payment will be made directly to the West Virginia college or university of your choice.
PROMISE Scholarship awards and FAFSA Filing must be used to cover the cost of tuition and mandatory fees, Students have six years from the date awarded to utilize their PROMISE award unless they are enrolled in the military and then the time is extended. Funds can only be used to pay for undergraduate coursework that applies to the student’s academic program.
