Vice Chancellor’s Research Scholarships are awarded to only three students from UK, EU and international who want to pursue PhD in University of Kent, the applying candidate should be  able to demonstrate a high level of academic achievement, excellent communication skills, and the potential to make a great fruitful contribution in their opted field of research, this is an annual international scholarship that is provided for one year and is extended to three years who proves to be well performed in academics.

Award:
The scholarships awarded to students who want to pursue PhD from University of Kent, the number of scholarships provided by university are three.

Value of award:
The value of the award is the applying candidate should will be given fees plus a maintenance grant and a salary which will total an amount equivalent to that offered by the Research Councils:

1. This is an annual scholarship that is provided for one year and is extended to three years who proves to be well performed in academics.
2. The scholarships are administered under the Graduate Teaching Assistant ship Scheme, where the selected candidates must be ready to undertake four hours of teaching per week over the three years of the award.

Eligibility Criteria and Educational qualification for University of Kent, International Scholarships 2024-25

1. Applicants must posses  a first-class Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject, or an equivalent non-UK qualification, or a Master’s degree at merit or distinction in a relevant subject or equivalent from a recognised university.
2. The scholarships are only open to new doctoral students, studying in the following fields:Classical and Archaeological Studies, Comparative Literature, English Language and Linguistics, Modern Languages (French, German, Hispanic Studies, and Italian), Philosophy and Religious Studies.

Nationality:
The scholarships are open to UK, EU and overseas fee-paying students. Please note that overseas students must have the appropriate documentation to evidence eligibility to work in the UK.

Application procedure to apply for University of Kent, school of European culture and languages International scholarships , UK 2024-25:

Applying candidates should attach documents of their educational qualification along with their nationality document along with application form with their copies, the completed form should be sent to the SECL Postgraduate Coordinator either by e-mail or by post.
