The purpose of Ministry of Education (MOE), Republic of China (Taiwan) Scholarships is to encourage all International students who has the excellence in their academics (Excluding students from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau SAR) to undertake degree studies in Taiwan by awarding each recipient with tuition fees and payment of academic fees, including credit fees and subsistence allowance so that the students can familiarize the academic environment in Taiwan and can promote communication, friendship between Taiwan and countries all around the world. The Ministry of education’s (MOE) key role is to get noticeable positive changes in Education by communicating & providing Scholarship policies and a platform to study. According to MUEC, There are four (4) openings available for MOE Scholarship 2024.

Award Value for International Students through

Taiwan MOE Scholarship 2024

Each recipient will be awarded with Tuition and above fees of an amount NTD 40,000 per semester and Subsistence allowance of NTD 15,000 for Undergraduate Studies and an amount of NTD 20,000 for Postgraduate Studies per monthly as a stipend. Scholarship does not include any administration fees, Thesis advising fees, Insurance premiums, Accommodations or internet access.

Maximum period of each Scholarship is 4 years for Undergraduate programs, 2 years for Postgraduates. The MOU Scholarship period for each academic year is from September 1 to August 31 of the following year. Those who wish to study in Taiwan can check their eligibility as stipulated below.

Eligibility Criteria for Taiwan MOE Scholarship 2024

Applicants must be a foreign national by having a high school diploma or Post secondary degree(s), have excellent academic records and must be of good moral character, Applicants are ineligible if they meet

  • Overseas Chinese Students or R.O.C Nationals and Registered/Obtained student status in Taiwan colleges/universities. Are recipients of any other scholarship in past and current offered by Taiwan Government/Education Institution. Past students in Taiwan for the same level degree for which currently they are enrolling.

Selection will be conducted by the Education Division, TECO-Boston, MOE Branch office in New England based on Undergraduate & Postgraduate GPA and TOCFL levels.

Application Process & Supporting Documents to apply for Taiwan MOE Scholarship 2024

Applicants can apply directly for admission to Colleges/Universities in Taiwan of their choice within specified deadlines, to apply for MOE Scholarship, applicants should send all required documents to the Education Division, TECO-Boston by post before deadline.

  • Application Form.
  • Applicant’s Passport information page(s).
  • Copies of Highest Degree with Academic Transcripts, Chinese Language Proficiency Certificate and Admission application form.
  • 2 Recommended Letters from Principals/Professors/Supervisors.
