Taiwan Government Scholarship Programme launched by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and the National Science Council (NSC). The main theme of the scholarships is to encourage outstanding students to pursue academic degrees in Taiwan.
Nationality All the international students will be eligible excluding Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau country students.

Taiwan Government Scholarships 2024 Details
Non-Degree LEP programme scholarship will be provided for one year, Under Graduate courses scholarship will be applicable for 4 years, Master Courses 2 years and Post Doctoral courses 4 years will be applicable, every month LEP students will get stipend of NT$25,000 and other courses will receive scholarship amount of NT$30,000. Recipients are responsible for all expenses during their stay in Taiwan. MOFA will not provide any other subsidies. MOFA will, however, provide recipients with one-way, economy-class plane tickets for direct flights to and from Taiwan.
Taiwan Government Scholarships 2024 – Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should not be resident to republic of china (Taiwan) and overseas nationality student, and the applicant should hold high school graduate or above with an excellent academic record of good moral character and has no criminal record. Applicant has never attended an educational institution in Taiwan at the same level of degree or LEP that he/she intends to apply for.

- Huayu Enrichment Scholarship application form
- A photocopy of the applicant’s passport information page(s)
- A photocopy of the certificate of the highest degree (diploma) and original transcript (sent by school registrar’s office). d. A photocopy of the admission application form sent to the Mandarin Language Center in Taiwan.
- Two letters of recommendation signed and sealed in envelopes (i.e. from principals, professors, or supervisors).
Taiwan Government Scholarships 2024 Application Process
All the eligible applicants should submit application form with supporting documents to nearest Taiwan Embassy or representative office in his/her home country.
