Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) offering scholarship applications to help students living in communities with Simon shopping centers, The SYF scholarship committee considers the whole student, including one’s future potential as demonstrated by significant life changes. Other important qualities include academic record, demonstrated leadership in school and community activities, work experience, and recommendations, the committee gives special consideration to first generation college students, the scholarship will be awarded to the top recipients in each of the following regions.

- Boston, Massachusetts;
- Miami, Florida;
- Orlando, Florida;

Simon Youth Foundation Community Scholarships are available to high school seniors living near a Simon mall or in the surrounding communities. Simon Youth Academy Scholarships are available only to graduates of Simon Youth Academies.

Applications are available online, Only the first 3,000 applications that the organization receives are considered. Selection Criteria
The SYF Scholarship selection criteria will be done on the basis of applicants must demonstrate financial need and plan to enroll as full-time college undergraduate students at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational/technical school. Selection will be based partly on academic achievement, but also on applicants’ future potential and whether they have made significant personal improvements or contributions to their communities. Special consideration will be given to applicants who are the first generation in their family to attend a post-secondary institution and those attending a two-year college or vocational school.
