The main aim of the scholarship is to provide academic as well as financial assistance to the candidates who are interested in pursuing 3-year PhD programme at the Department of Chemical & Materials Engineering, the University of Auckland. The selected candidate will be considered to take up the project of improving landfill methanogenesis efficiency using chemical additives, where the theme of the project is to explore a new way of increasing the amount of methane gas emitted by naturally occurring microbes living in municipal landfills.
