Understanding the Eligibility for Migration Media Award 2024
The following are the criteria that will ensure the eligibility of the applicants.
- The entry needs to be published between 1 April 2017 and 31 March
- The language of the entry be English, French, or Arabic
- If the submission is in any other language then there needs to be an accompanying translation into English, French, or Arabic
- The content needs to be related to the migration in the Euro-Mediterranean region
- There should be 300-word synopsis along with the entry
- There should be also 300 words detailing the newsworthiness of the angle chosen along with difficulties faced during production
Criteria for selection Migration Media Award
The evaluation will take place mainly in three languages. They are English, Arabic, and French. The applicants are allowed to take part in four categories, print, TV, radio, and online.
What is the number of awardees?
There is actually 3 winner selected from each of the 4 categories for every 3 languages. So, in total there will be 12 winners for the first position. For the 2nd and 3rd, there will be 12 each. Thus, the total number of winning stories in the competition will be 36.
What is the value?
The winners will receive somewhere between EUR500 to EUR7,000 which is funded by the EU. It will be given to them for generating original content that is related to the migration topic in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
