Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) Ph.D. Scholarships 2024 are offered to the students in the international arena who are interested to pursue Ph.D. positions in the field of Physics, Acoustics, Underwater Acoustics in Ireland, the scholarships are funded by Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) in partnership with Irwin Carr Consulting (ICC), Northern Ireland (UK).

The institute is aimed at focussing on the underwater environment, underwater sound propagation, the selected candidates will offer facilities, technical knowledge, sound sparring, and guidance to an outstanding aspiring Ph.D. student to carry out internationally important work, it is completely a merit-based scholarship, that is based on academic qualifications.

Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology offers Ph.D. conforming in acoustics to the students in the international arena who are interested to pursue their studies in Ireland.

GMIT is also currently delivering a €1 million offshore acoustic monitoring project funded by the Petroleum
