DAAD-CARTA Ph.D. Scholarships 2024, East African Scholars offers the Ph.D. scholarships to the students belonging to one of the countries of East Africa, the main aim of the CARTA is to provide a high-grade quality to the Graduates who want to get trained here which in terms reflects the health and development of the surrounding in Africa with a challenging research and growth opportunities, Consortium for Advanced Research Training in Africa is the award provider of the scholarship, where the Ph.D. is offered in the related fields of study that are offered by the foundation.

The DAAD-CARTA offers scholarships to develop their knowledge under the Ph.D. level program, but the number of scholarships is limited.
Level of Study
The long-term impacts of the scholarships are strengthening teaching and research at higher education institutions in Eastern Africa region, solving development issues in the region and strengthening universities, research institutes, and research networks in Eastern Africa, and contributing to the establishment of regional networks between these institutions.

Applying candidate should be a citizen of Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Comoros, Congo, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Value of Award
selected students will receive a scholarship which includes the cost of living and accommodation, university registration, tuition fee, and also funds for the cost of research, it offers the health insurance and optional research to stay in Germany for up to six months.

Eligibility Criteria for DAAD-CARTA Ph.D. Scholarships 2024, East African Scholars

The candidates should meet the requirements to apply for the scholarship, where the candidates must give a strong commitment towards their capability and potential for their research, the last degree of the applicant should be completed less than six years ago before applying for Scholarships, the candidate should be the citizen of a country that is mentioned above, the applicant should be freshmen to take the Ph.D. program, the candidate from the non-English speaking countries must meet the requirements of the English language to ensure the admission.
