Coimbra Group Universities inviting scholarship applications from young African Researchers from universities in Sub-Saharan Africa with the opportunity to spend a short period (1 to 3 months) at a Coimbra Group University to carry out part of their research there. The main objective of scholarships is to enable scholars to undertake research in which they are engaged in their home institution and to help them to establish academic and research contacts.
The Coimbra Group scholarships are financially supported by the Coimbra Group member universities participating in this programme, while the Coimbra Group Office is in charge of the administrative management of the applications. All the eligible applicants who are applying for the scholarship can apply on or before deadline.

Coimbra Group Scholarship 2024 Award Details
The Coimbra Group scholarship covers short term visits 1 to 3 months maximum and it will be applicable to sub Saharan African countries and its include financial support for tuition, living costs, airfares etc.
Coimbra Group Scholarship 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Applicant should be resident to Sub Saharan Africa, Applicants are current staff members of a university or an equivalent higher education institution in Sub-Saharan Africa of doctoral/postdoctoral or equivalent status, female candidates have more priority to apply the scholarship.
Age Limit
The Applicants must be under the age of 45 years is eligible.
