Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships are designed with a mission to encourage and enable financial support to black high school students to support them to go to college, and make themselves realize the impact technology on the present world, and the candidate should be intended to target a career in the technology industry, the Blacks at Microsoft (BAM)Scholarships 2020 are awarded annually for four years through the Seattle Foundation on behalf of BAM to the recipient’s school’s Financial Aid Office, the only criteria to select the students is based on academic merit.
The Blacks at Microsoft Scholarships are offered to pursue graduate course in the fields of studies related to technology industry.
Fields of study
The scholarships are offered in the fields of engineering, computer science, computer information systems, or declare a major in business that is approved by BAM (for example, finance, business administration, or marketing) in the university.
Value of award
The amount of the scholarship to be awarded $5,000 annually,through the Seattle Foundation on behalf of BAM to,That is the scholarship is renewed annually for an amount of $5,000 for up to four years for a total of $20,000.
Eligibility criteria for Blacks at Microsoft (BAM)Scholarships 2020
To apply for the BAM African American Heritage Scholarship, the student must meet the necessary criteria that is the candidate should be a current high school senior of African descent, and the applicant must plan to be a full time student that is four-year college or university of higher learning, that is the graduation, applicant must be intended to pursue their studies in relevant fields of study, applicant must be able to demonstrate a passion for technology, and also able to demonstrate leadership at school or in the community, candidate must hold a high school cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher and also demonstrate financial need.

Application procedure to apply for Blacks at Microsoft (BAM)Scholarships 2020
- Resume with Extracurricular activities,Honors and awards and Work experience
- Picture or recent photograph
- official transcripts that is sealed copies
- Two Essays – one with not more than 500 words in technology industry, and the other with 250 words to demonstrate financial need.
- Two letters of recommendation that is one from a member of your school’s faculty, and other from a person known through academic, employment, or community leadership experience
- A Completed Application Form
Applicants should fill the application completely where the two sections of the form are to be filled, the candidates should submit application form along with all supporting documents through post to The Seattle Foundation, c/o BAM Scholarship, 1200 5th Ave Ste. 1300, Seattle, WA 98101 in due process.
