Ashinaga is sponsoring scholarships to Bereaved Undergraduate Africans to Study in Japan, USA, UK, etc. The 100 Year-Vision scholarship has provided talented orphaned students from sub-Saharan African countries with the opportunity to apply for and to potentially pursue a level of undergraduate degree at the world’s leading universities outside Africa.

Ashinaga Scholarships 2024 Eligible Countries

Citizens of the following Sub-Saharan African countries:
a).English speaking: Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Ghana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, Sudan, Botswana, South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, Mauritius, Somalia, Nigeria, The Gambia, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, Angola.

b).French-speaking: Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Benin, Burundi, Gabon, Mali, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, DR Congo, Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Cameroon, Togo, Madagascar, Comoros

Scholarship Benefits
Selected students will get full scholarship benefits of covering the cost of tuition, accommodation, insurance, flight, and provides monthly stipend which covers food and necessary academic costs.

Eligibility Criteria of Ashinaga Scholarships 2024

Applicants should have a citizenship in any one of the above countries and pursued high school are eligible. Applicant should be proficient in either English, French or Portuguese. Applicants should have completed 12 years of education (primary and secondary school) within the last two years, or those who will complete 12 years of education by December 31 of application year. Vocational certificates not accepted. Applicant should be merit in their academic studies. Applicants who have lost one or both parents (can submit an official document proving). Applicants are able to participate in the two Ashinaga preparatory programs before attending university. Students are willing to contribute to society in Africa after graduating from university and have no dependents who could interfere with academic progress and be in good condition of health and capable of studying abroad.

Age Limit
Applicants are under 23 years old while applying for the scholarship.

  • Birth Certificate
  • Death Certificate of one or both the parents
  • Academic school transcripts from last two years
  • GCES/Baccalaureate if you have already received it
