International institute of Asian Studies in conjunction with the African Studies Centre in Leiden is offering ASC-IIAS is offering fellowships for the students who are interested in pursuing postgraduate research in the field of social sciences and Humanities, the Fellowship is provided for a period of 6 months where the fellowships are offered by IIAS and the African Studies Centre Leiden, the fellowship is available in the fields of African-Asian comparative economic developments or Chinese investments in Africa.

The award is given to the selected students who are interested in pursuing postgraduate research in the field of social sciences and Humanities.Number of scholarships are not specified.
Value of award:
The applying candidate who are selected for the fellowship will receive the fellowship which will cover a monthly grant or a stipend to cover the cost of living and housing.

The following are the criteria that the contesting candidate should possess The ASC-IIAS Joint Fellowship Programme in Netherlands, The candidate should be able to engage with shifting paradigms in “area studies” beyond the ways in which these have traditionally been conceived in the West.
Educational qualification:
- Applicants must possess a PhD degree at the starting of the research program.
- Applicants must meet the necessary language proficiency requirements that is the English language of the host institution.
